  • What is Scalp micropigmentation?
Scalp micropigmentation is a process that uses micro-needles to deposits pigment into the scalp. It creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles to restore the look of a fuller head of hair.
  • What is pigment?
The pigment is organic ink, which consists of distilled water.
  • What pigments do you use?
My pigment is totally organic, natural, plant-based and even vegan-friendly.
  • How much does Scalp micropigmentation cost?
It depends upon the thinning or balding pattern, the area of the scalp to be covered and if any scars are present. I suggest that you call and make an appointment with me. This consultation is FREE.
  • Does Scalp Micropigmentation cause hair loss?
There are many causes that can attribute to hair loss including alopecia, health problems, and side effects due to medications from cancer treatments. Even over-aggressive hair styling can cause bald spots and thinning. Scalp Micropigmentation is the ideal solution for any type of hair loss.
  • What is the Scalp Micropigmentation procedure?
Scalp Micropigmentation, is an innovative cosmetic procedure that enables both men and women to enhance the shape of their hairline, through the process of depositing pigment into the skin’s dermal layer.
  • How long does it take for Scalp Micropigmentation to heal?
The entire healing process only takes about seven days though there will be slight variations depending on the patient.
  • Does Scalp Micropigmentation hurt?
Scalp micropigmentation can hurt, but the pain is usually very mild. From scale 1 – 10 around 3 -4.
  • How long will SMP treatment take?
The amount of time needed for an SMP treatment varies but the typical first session lasts from three to five hours, while the further sessions usually take less time as the correct blend of density and darkness is achieved on the scalp.
  • Will Scalp Micropigmentation fade?
Some initial softening may occur as your natural shade is achieved. Providing that you follow the correct after-care, including use of sun-screen, the effect of SMP will be adequately maintained. The answer is YES, the pigment will fade over time, and a touch-up is therefore necessary every few years.
  • What if I want to change look or even reverse the process?
Any removal process would be similar to that of a tattoo with the exception that micro pigmentation is only situated within the 2nd dermal skin layer, a conventional tattoo is almost twice as deep. A full reversal could easily be achieved with a laser treatment. We envisage our clients may wish to change their look, perhaps soften a hairline or maybe even recede slightly as an individual becomes older. It is possible to soften a hairline with only 20 minutes of laser treatment.
  • Do you also remove previously made SMP?
We do not have a laser removal machine but we can refer you to a laser technician near our clinic whose correction before treatment is needed.
